1. When is 24-Hour Comics Day this year?
   Historically, the date for 24-Hour Comics Day was set by the ComicsPRO Board of Directors and announced in February each year.

In 2013, the ComicsPRO Board of Directors decided to use a standard day for 24HCD: the first Saturday in October. Each year, 24-Hour Comics Day will be the first Saturday in October.

Registration for the event usually goes live in June.

2. How many people take part in 24-Hour Comics Day?
  Each year, over 2,000 artists from around the world take the 24-Hour Comics Day challenge!
3. Who administers 24-Hour Comics Day?
  ComicsPRO, a trade association of comic book retailers, provides administration for 24-Hour Comics Day. ComicsPRO began administering 24-Hour Comics Day in 2008. 24-Hour Comic Book Day is a volunteer-run event.

The original 24-Hour Comics Day event started in 2004, and was organized by Nat Gertler, of the comic book publishing company About Comics. Scott McCloud provides a brief history of the event here.
