Hour 6 at Lone Star Comics

We’re now into hour 6 and our creators are still going strong. There’s plenty of progress seen and a few folks working to keep up with their schedules. We’re seeing lots of diverse art styles this year. Don’t burn out, Creators!

I just made the rounds and we have comics about the following:
Haunted house portraits
Drunken target practice
Buddy cops
High school relationship drama
Dreams
Yodeling!
History
Goats

And Rick (“Mister E”) just received this Red Bull, labeled “For when you cave.”   Which will probably be around 4 a.m….

Six Hours in the New Orleans!

We’re rolling in the Big Easy!  Seven artists have taken the 24 Hour Comics Day challenge at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans: Jeannie Detweiler, John Slade, Kira Mardikes, Caesar Meadows, Kelly Stiles, Spencer Bradford, and Bottletree.

24HCDVT: BBQ and page averages

An informal poll says we’re about averaging 4 to 5 pages in so far…  Only a few have scripted it all out first and are now just starting to ink for real.

And then dinner arrived!  Bluebird BBQ brought a heavenly spread and we all rushed downstairs to pack it in.

Good idea to stretch first…

5 Hours in at 4 Color Fantasies….

Ok so here we are about 5 hours in at 4 Color Fantasies in Rancho Cucamonga and many guys are on track  we have a few that are a bit behind but optimistic about finishing on time!!

This year we have someone using a digital medium to do his book

We have a new location in Colorado Springs, CO called Muse Comics + Games. This is our first year hosting a 24-Hour Comics Day event and we have 4 artists in the house taking the challenge!
